Most Rev. Francis J. Kane, D.D.
Retired Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

 Bishop Kane was ordained to the priesthood by John Cardinal Cody at St. Mary of the Lake Seminary on Wednesday, May 14, 1969. He then served as associate pastor at St. John Fisher Parish and St. Nicholas of Tolentine, and was also named associate director of Center for Pastoral Ministry in 1973.  During his priesthood, he was Director of the Office for the Ministry of Peace and Justice, Director of the Office of Evangelization and Christian Life, and Director of Catholic Relief Services.  From 1993 to his appointment as auxiliary bishop in 2003, Kane served as pastor of St. Joseph Parish  in Wilmette.  He also became dean of Deanery A in 1999.  His Episcopal Ordination was March 19, 2003, and then became the Vicar General for the Archdiocese.  A Auxiliary Bishop, he also served as Episcopal Vicar of Vicariate II.  During this time, hhe was the Cardinal's Liaison liaison for the Annual Catholic Appeal and for the Office for Lay Ecclesial Ministry.  On July 3, 2018, Pope Francis accepted his resignation after reaching the retirement age of 75.

Deacon Richard Hudzik

​Richard has been the  Vicar for Deacons for the Archdiocese of Chicago since July 2013. Prior to this most recent ministry, he was the Director of the Cardinal Stitch Retreat House from 2005 through 2012.  Through the University of St. Mary of the Lake Seminary, he has a Doctor of Ministry; through the Catholic Theological Union, he has a Masters of Divinity; and through St. Mary of the Woods College, he has a Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology.  His personal ministry as Deacon is at Divine Providence Parish and School in Winchester.

Taller de José
 
Taller de José  is an agency that offers companionship and personal attention to people who have difficulty finding their way in a complex social system. We seek to collaborate with other agencies to make social services more accessible to a population in need. Each staff member, compañera/o, is trained to listen to clients to assess the services they need and then accompany them in the process of finding those resources.  Taller de José is a sponsored ministry of the Congregation of the Sister of st. Jospeh.

FAITH-LABOR-ACTION.  Arise Chicago was founded by a diverse group of religious leaders in 1991 looking to address systemic poverty in the Chicagoland area.  As the number of Chicago workers facing harsh working conditions grew, so did Arise Chicago. With the knowledge that all workers are created in the image of God and therefore deserving of dignity and respect, religious leaders supported workers so their dignity was upheld in the workplace.  In 2001 Arise Chicago produced the first Workers Rights Manual in easy-to-read language in Spanish, Polish, and English.

 Sr. Nancy Murray, OP

Nancy Murray, OP,an Adrian Dominican Sister, is making her mark on audiences across the country and throughout the world, bringing to life the Dominican saint Catherine of Siena, Doctor of the Church. With simple props and a fertile imagination, Sister Nancy portrays Catherine as the colorful, strong, passionate and enthusiastic personality that she was. Thanks to Sister Nancy's gift of transforming herself into this 14th century saint and patroness of the Dominican Order, numerous churches, schools and organizations have become acquainted with Catherine's fierce devotion to and love for God. Catherine is best remembered for "The Dialogue," which contains the intimate conversations or prayers that she and God shared with each other. Catherine died in 1380 at age 33.

Rev. Dan Brandt
   
​Fr. Brandt has been active in the Police Chaplains' Ministry since 2004, assisting his predecessor, Fr. Tom Nangle. Dan was ordained a Priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago in May of 1999. A northwest side native, he has served as Associate Pastor of St. William Parish (in 025), then as Pastor of Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Bridgeport (in 009), before replacing Fr. Nangle upon his retirement in 2011. Now the full-time Director of the Chaplains' Unit, Fr. Dan resides at a parish in Logan Square.  “Police officers see in an eight- or ten-hour shift (which we call them a ‘tour of duty’) more awful, atrocious things than most people see in a whole lifetime. Sometimes it haunts them, sometimes they carry that with them. And once in a while they'll reach out. ...  that they, too, need some help from time to time ...that's where trust comes in. They trust me because I'm not from the outside, I'm one of them.”

Rev. Richard Bulwith

Fr. Bulwith has ministered at Catholic Charities for the past 30 years.  He retired as the Associate Director of Catholic Charities, July 2017. He served as associate pastor at St. Emeric, Country Club Hills; St. Michael, Orland Park, Immaculate Conception (North Park Avenue), St. Nicholas, Evanston; and St. Hilary. He was pastor of St. George (Lituanica St.) (1982-1986). He authored, SPIRITUALITY FOR RECOVERING ADDICTS: And For Anyone Seeking Spiritual Growth.  Fr. Bulwith says, "I found God in AA, Alcoholics Anonymous, and not the church. True spirituality encompasses one's whole being. This book offers practical Twelve Step Meditations to enhance personal growth, offering  life-giving prayers.
